The day was January 4, 2004. The
temperature at our house was 75 degrees. Bill decided that we should take
the dogs to the beach since the weather was so nice. We enjoyed the day
while it lasted. The temperature was down to a low of 19 degrees within a
week.
There were more sandpipers than there were people near the
Garden City Pier.
The beaches in Garden City and Surfside Beach aren't lined
by the huge resort hotels like those in Myrtle Beach.
Bill was looking one way, while Terri and
Bailey were looking at the group riding horses. We lost Terri (the black
greyhound) a few short
weeks later to bone cancer.
This was the last of the horse riders. It
looked like they were having a great time.
